These two volumes include information and beautiful engravings of such stage luminaries as John Drew (maternal grandfather of Lionel, John and Ethel Barrymore), Edmund Kean, Junius Brutus Booth (father of actors Edmund and John Wilkes Booth), Richard Mansfield, Henry Irving, Richard Burbage, David Garrick, Tyrone Power, Sr., Sarah Bernhardt, Ellen Terry, Edmund Booth, and Maurice Barrymore (father of Lionel, John and Ethel Barrymore). This is a rare, beautiful set. Volume I is in very good condition with some wear to the leather spine, some tears on the half-title page, and a corner missing from the front blank page. Volume II is in very good condition with some wear to the leather spine.
