    Description

GROUP LOT OF 8 CRACKER JACK BEARS POST CARDS. After Teddy Roosevelt held office the bear became the most popular animal around. There were Busy Bears, Roosevelt Bears and the Cracker Jack Bears. This colorful series of the Cracker Jack Bears was a novelty item advertising Cracker Jack. Here we have Nos. 3,4,6,8,9,11,13, and 18. Nearly all have been postmarked and sent. Most have wear along the edges and corners but only one or two have a crease. None are bent. The colors are bold and the graphics of these bears portray them as humans. The card picturing them with a Black man is particularly rare and hard to get as are all of these examples.
