DescriptionThe Walter Brewing Co Pre-Prohibition Advertising Tray. 16.5" oval tin lithograph. Walter Brewing Co was founded in Pueblo Colorado in 1898 and advertised their beer using the "The Lady of Quality" on this advertising tray. A stock design used by the Meek Co. to make advertising novelty signs and trays for their clients, "The Walter BR'G Co produced Gold Label Beer around 1900 and as the tray declares they sold "Beer of Quality". The condition of this tray shows wear and surface scratches with a small glass ring left under the flowers in the girl's hand. The rim of shows one spot on the "E" but nothing detracts from the bright red and how it shows off the little lady who is featured. Not often do we find early advertising for these obscure western breweries.
