Description

Framed "Budweiser Girl" 1904 Beer Advertisement Modern men are not the only ones who love the Bud girls; even a hundred years ago Anheuser Busch used sex appeal to market their product. Though this lovely lady is wearing slightly different attire than modern Bud girls she is no less appealing! The first Budweiser girl was introduced in 1883 and she maintained her looks and attire until 1907. The lithograph featured here is from 1904 and is thusly the first Budweiser girl! She is holding her typical Bud girl pose, with one arm raised holding a bottle of beer. After 1907 the Budweiser girl appeared in a long-sleeve red dress and a new hairstyle. The more demure and soft version pictured here was used early on and she is considered the most rare Bud girl in collecting circles. This blue-eyed beauty is wearing an Anheuser Busch official emblem on a necklace, as she seductively shows a tiny fraction of her ankle. The Bud girl would no doubt blaze the trail for the bikini-clad Budweiser girls we see at every Super Bowl! A fantastic piece of breweriana!

Condition-Frame is slightly damaged on upper edge, the Anheuser-Busch plaque is chipped and worn. The glass in front of the girl is cracked along the bottom edge. The lithograph itself is in excellent shape, though some soiling has occurred over the years. With a small amount of cleaning and love this girl could be the centerpiece for any collection!
