Description

Perfect for display

NASA Space Program: Amazing Collection of Vintage Pinback Buttons (121 Pieces). From Alan Shepard's Mercury flight in 1961 to the Space Shuttle missions in the 1980s, with Gemini, Apollo, and Skylab in between, this is possibly the ultimate collection of original souvenir and official buttons to be offered in one lot at auction. Painstakingly collected over a period of years, this would be near-impossible to assemble from scratch. All the important missions are here with special emphasis on the Apollo 11 moonlanding which includes a rare 9" pinback/easel example. Great slogans: "Hurrah for Schirra", "The Conquerors of the Moon", "Around the World in 80 Minutes", "Great, Scott!", "Out to Launch", and "Greatest Voyage Since Columbus". If you need something interesting and colorful to dress up your Space display, this lot is for you. Generally very fine or better.
