Description
Sam Houston Land Grant Signed As Texas Republic President, 1844. One page on vellum, partially printed, 15.5" x 13". Austin, September 16, 1844. Countersigned by Land Commissioner Thomas William Ward with docketing on verso panel. Hand-drawn plat on the verso.W. T. Shuff is granted land near the Guadalupe River in Bexar County, Texas. Affixed with the Texas General Land Office seal.
Condition: Folded in eighths with vermin holes affecting the panels in the folds, ink slightly faded. Foxing and toning along folds with minor paper loss to margins. Heavy toning to verso panels. Seal is wrinkled.
