Colt Model 1861 Navy Single Action Percussion Revolver.

Serial no. 13341 [barrel, frame, triggerguard and butt] and 3341 [cylinder], .36 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of barrel marked: ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA. Etched cylinder scene. COLTS / PATENT stamped to left side of frame. Brass gripstraps. CAL and R inspector mark to left side of triggerguard. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Manufactured in 1863. Sold along with receipt from Jackson Arms (Dallas, TX), dated August 9, 1979. The Colt 1861 Navy was introduced at the onset of the American Civil War in 1861, just as demand for reliable and effective sidearms was increasing dramatically.

Condition: Good. Finish primarily a mottled grey patina with signs of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Scuffs and scratches present to wood. Action good. Lightly pitted bore. From the Collection of James Schubert.
