Description

Henry Clay: Native American Pewter Rim Medallion. 2½" pewter rim medallion with lithograph portrait of "Henry Clay" on one side (with concentric mirrored borders) and "George Washington" on the other. The Clay side is excellent with only minor pitting to the mirror. The Washington side is quite nice with minor aging. Missing suspension loop. Top of frame "expanded" to accommodate ribbon. The inclusion of Washington denotes an endorsement of Clay by the Native American Party. From the Merrill C. Berman Collection.
