Description
Civil War Regulation Cincinnati Arsenal Artillery Shell Jacket. Blue wool, fully trimmed in scarlet wool tape. 2 ½-inch tall collar complete with both general service buttons on each side. 10 of 12 general service front buttons. All cuff and collar buttons present. Inside pocket on the left breast. Brown body lining; white sleeve lining. Inside upper sleeve marked "2 / F. H. SHAFER / U.S. / INSP. CIN. O". Both bolsters remain on the back of the jacket.Condition: Excellent. Two missing front general service buttons.
