Finely bound in full cross-grain brown morocco, gilt lettered brown and black leather labels on spines, spine compartments with diced pattern, marbled endpapers, all edges marbled. Bookplate of James Oakes in each volume. Covers with wear, corners worn, joints tender or lightly cracking but overall holding.
