Description

James Buchanan Letter Signed As President "James Buchanan." One page on lined paper, 7.75" x 10", Washington, June 25, 1860. Addressed "To the Senators of the United States, respectively."

It reads, in full: "Sir: An extraordinary occasion rendering it necessary that the Senate should be convened to receive and act on such communications as have been or may be addressed to it on the part of the Executive, you are requested to attend at the Senate Chamber for that purpose at noon tomorrow the 26th instant."

Condition: Light toning, smoothed fold creases, else bright and legible. Very good condition.
