Description
The Gentleman's Magazine and Historical Chronicle, Volume XLV, 1775. London: D. Henry, 1775. Octavo. 639 pages, with index. With seven fold-out maps including three of Boston: "A Plan of the Town and Chart of the Harbour of Boston," "A Map of 100 Miles round Boston," and "A New and Correct Plan of the Town of Boston." Several issues include articles on the "Proceedings in the American Colonies." Contemporary quarter morocco over cloth.Condition: "A Plan of the Town and Chart of the Harbour of Boston" has a complete separation along a fold and dark toning and chipping along the top. "A New and Correct Plan of the Town of Boston" has been trimmed along the bottom losing a portion of the map and exhibits minor offsetting. Several of the other maps have chipping along top. Pages have been unevenly trimmed. Rebacked, keeping original cloth which has uneven rubbing. Pastedowns have been replaced as well. Endpapers have toning and foxing, with even toning to interior pages.
