Description
Taft & Sherman: Classic Elephant Ears Jugate. 1 1/4" button incorporating one of the cleverest designs of all time, with images of Taft & Sherman superimposed on the ears of a smiling "G O P" elephant, dated 1908. This is the mate for the "Clean Sweep for Democracy" Bryan & Kern. Whitehead & Hoag back paper. There is some darkening along the edge which is not uncommon with this design, as well as some minor edge bumps likely as made. Overall the button has a fine appearance.Auction Info
