Description
Apollo 13 Crew-Signed Color Launch Photo. An 8" x 10" NASA lithographed print captioned "APOLLO 13 LIFTOFF". The crew has all signed at upper right: "James Lovell", "Jack Swigert" (1931-1982), and "Fred Haise". This flight, launched on April 11, 1970, was slated to be the third Apollo mission to land on the moon. A mid-course explosion scrubbed the landing and this brave and resourceful crew used the lunar module as a "lifeboat" on the perilous journey around the moon and safely back to Earth.
