Spanish-American War: First Montana U.S. Volunteers "Bozeman Boys" Service Medals and Welcome Home Ribbon.Includes: 1) First Montana U.S. Volunteers Welcome Home Ribbon. 2 x 7-inches, printed on silk with eagle pendant. "OUR BOZEMAN BOYS / FIRST MONTANA / U.S. VOLUNTEERS / COMPANY C / WELCOME HOME / October 24, 1899." 2) First Montana State Service medal, sterling with Gorham maker's marks, 42-mm, red/white/blue silk ribbon, bronze eagle pendant. The obverse is captioned: "FIRST TO RESPOND TO THEIR COUNTRY'S CALL / 1898 CAMPANAS DE FILIPINOS 1899." The reverse is captioned: "FIRST MONTANA U.S. VOL'S. SECOND DIVISION EIGHTH ARMY CORPS." 3) An example identical to the previous, more tarnished and with a fragile ribbon.
