U.S. Springfield 1860's Model Rifle Stock with Bulls Run Battle Civil War Letter.

Measuring 25 1/2-inches in overall length. Looks to be a once percussion model rifle. Sold along with Eagle One letter, from Antique Military Artifacts LLC, dated May 04, 2011. Letter states that the stock was used during the Bulls Run Battle of the Civil War. Says the stock was obtained from an estate sale of the late Levi A. Chester, Corporal U.S. Army infantry. It also lists that he was wounded in the battle and unable to continue throughout the war.

Condition: Good. Showing noticeable age and handling wear, scuffs and dings present. All furniture is absent. Noticeable wood loss to top of right side.
