Description
Civil War Period Leather Square-Toed Boots. Rise to 15 ½-inches at the front and 13 ½-inches at the back. Leather tabs at each side for use to pull them on. Interior of unfinished black leather. Square toe. Leather heels attached with steel pegs, soles with wooden pegs. No visible size stamp (11-inches from heel to toe). A note inside one of the boots indicate that they belonged to a soldier in the 9th New York Cavalry but this has not been verified.Condition: Very good. The leather is a bit dry but still slightly pliable. A nice pair for display showing signs of honest use.
