U.S. Bridesburg 1864 Percussion Full-Stock Rifle.

Unserialized, .58 caliber, 39-inch barrel with fixed front sight and rear folding sight. V / P / (eagle head) and 1864 to top of barrel. Lock marked: 1864, (eagle) and U.S. BRIDESBURG. P stamped to case-hardened hammer. Smooth walnut straight stock with sling swivels. Three barrel bands, each marked: U. Tulip head metal ramrod. Metal triggerguard and buttplate.

Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a bright grey patina with scattered areas of handling wear and patches of pitting. Bruising, scuffs and dings present to wood. Number 14 to right side of stock. Action Good. Lightly pitted bore. From the Collection of Dr. Phillip R. Rutherford
