Description
Winfield S. Hancock: Large, Impressive Ferrotype Badge. 1 1/4" x 1 3/4" embossed copper badge inscribed "Our Presidential Candidates". An oblong opening contains a ferrotype of "Hancock." The portrait is clear and bold. There is some chipping to the left and right edges and minor bubbling of the emulsion in the upper right corner. Hancock stuff is tough and this is perhaps the best example of a single portrait campaign badge we can think of. There is a replacement stickpin on the verso.Auction Info
