Colt Single Action Army Revolver. Serial no. 31957 [frame and triggerguard] and 57943 [butt], .45 caliber, 5 1/2-inch barrel with front blade sight and one-line Hartford address. Blued finish. Two-line, two-date patent. Smooth wood grips. Manufactured in 1881. From the estate of Houston collector Brent Burg. Condition: Good. Finish primarily a grayish patina with scattered wear and pitting. Tracking line on cylinder. Grips showing scratches scuffs and bruises. Noticeable wood loss to edges and corners of each grip panel. Action crisp. Bore good with light pitting.
