With fore-edge painting portrait of Thomas Moore beside "a ruin on the banks of the Jumnes, above the city of Delhi." Full straight-grain morocco binding with gilt and blind tooled paneled boards, five raised spine bands with gilt titles and devices in compartment, gilt lined board edges and turn-ins, all edges gilt. Bookplate. Pencil annotation on front fly-leaf describing fore-edge painting. Binding rubbed at extremities and lightly soiled. Light foxing and few corner bends. Very good.
