Description

Pennsylvania Governor Andrew G. Curtain Civil War Pass and Signed Cabinet Card Photograph. The pass, one partially-printed page on Executive Chamber letterhead, 5.25" x 8", Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, October 22, 1862, authorizes the leave of "Albert Willis . . . to visit and minister to a friend who is ill." Folds with small spots of foxing. Curtain's signature shows slight smudging. Mounting remnant on the verso.

With a 4.25" x 6.5" cabinet card photograph of Curtain in his later years, featured in a chest up portrait looking off to his left. Affixed to an F. Gutekunst mount. Curtain, who served as the governor of Pennsylvania throughout the Civil War, has signed below his image. Fine.
