[Arthur Rackham, illustrator]. Charles and Mary Lamb. Tales from Shakespeare. London: J. M. Dent & Co. and New York: E. P. Dutton & Co., 1909.Large 8vo. Illustrated throughout by Arthur Rackham with full-page inserted color plates, black-and-white drawings, chapter headings, tail-pieces, and pictorial endpapers. Publisher's white cloth, spine lettered in gilt, front board pictorially stamp in gilt and lettered in gilt, rose-colored ribbon ties, pictorial endpapers stamped in gilt.
LARGE PAPER EDITION, LIMITED ISSUE, number 350 of 750 copies SIGNED BY THE ILLUSTRATOR. With an additional inserted plate, "Puck," facing p. 16, which "only appears in this Large Paper Edition, which is limited to 750 copies, and is not included in the ordinary edition."
Condition: Cloth soiled and stained; spine sunned; corners bumped and rubbed; ties lightly frayed; endpapers finger-soiled and stained (rear endpapers seem to be marbled in purple and brown). Light finger-soiling and a few scattered spots throughout.
