Joseph Walter Durbin and Two Other Texas Rangers Cabinet Card, circa 1886. 4.25" x 6", B/W. Pictured in this studio portrait are three Texas Rangers, Joseph Walter Durbin, William Tredwell, and G.W. Clark. The verso is inscribed with the subjects' names as well as the date "March 25, 1886" and "Laredo Texas 1886". Durbin comes from a family of law men. His younger brother, Will "Tink" Durbin was a Texas Ranger as well as a Deputy Sheriff for Denton County, Texas, and yet another brother, W.E., also known as "Lish" was Sheriff of Denton County. Similarly, Walter Durbin would be elected Frio County Sheriff after leaving the Rangers. Backstamp reads "M.K. Hamilton, Photographer / Laredo, Texas". Some wear to edges of card, as well as possible alteration to bottom.
