Mercury-Atlas 8 Results of the Third United States Manned Orbital Space Flight October 3, 1962, Book Originally from the Personal Collection of Mission Pilot Walter Schirra, Signed. A 120 page softbound book of 8" x 10.25", NASA publication SP-12, dated December 1962. From the foreword: "This document presents the results of the third United States manned orbital space flight conducted on October 3, 1962. The performance discussions of the spacecraft and the launch-vehicle systems, the flight control personnel, and the astronaut, together with a detailed analysis of the medical aspects of the flight, form a continuation of the information previously published for the first two United States manned orbital flights..." Signed on the front cover: "Walter M Schirra"; he has also drawn the Project Mercury symbol beneath his name. Some illustrations and includes a complete transcript of the audio during the six-orbit mission. Fine condition with minor wear.Auction Info
