Description
Superb Jefferson Davis and Robert E. Lee Mezzotints.Complimentarily framed and matted under glass to an overall size of 14 ½ x 16 ½-inches, view area 11 ½ x 13 ½-inches. Engraved and published by William Sartain, 728 Sanson St., Philadelphia. Both examples are after Matthew Brady images. The National Portrait Gallery dates the Davis to 1860 and Lee to 1865.
Condition: Excellent.
