Drawings attributed to Eugène Delacroix.
One page on ink drawings attributed to Eugene Delacroix, of cornucopia, two figures, a pineapple, and another piece of fruit, 12" x 8", n.p.; n.d. On the verso of the drawing, written in ink in French, "par Eug. Delacroix," and signed by his friend Frédéric Villot. Below this inscription there is a passage, written in pencil, stating that the drawing is an original work by Delacroix and that his friend Villot inscribed it.

Ferdinand Victor Eugène Delacroix (1798-1863) was a French Romantic artist regarded from the outset of his career as the leader of the French Romantic School.

Marie-Joseph Frédéric Villot (1809-1875), a French engraver and friend of Delacroix, was also an art historian, who served as paintings curator of the Louvre Museum from 1848 to 1861.
