Space Shuttle Columbia (STS-2) Unflown 10K Gold (32.2 grams) Robbins Medallion, Serial Number 18. A stunning 40mm diameter medal with attached jump ring. The design features the shuttle, a combined American eagle and flag image, and the surnames of the crew members, Joe Engle and Richard Truly. The reverse includes the crew names, the engraved dates of November 12-14, 1981, and notation of its landing on Runway 23 at Edwards AFB. The serial number is on the rim along with the gold hallmark. The NASA STS-2 mission, launched in November 1981, was the second flight of the Space Shuttle program and the first to reuse the orbiter Columbia, proving the shuttle's partial reusability concept.
