James Lovell Signed Apollo Lunar Landing Research Vehicle (LLRV) Vintage NASA "Red Number" Color Photo. A vintage chromogenic 10" x 8" print, NASA image number S-69-39098, with "A Kodak Paper" watermark on the verso. Signed in black felt tip: "
To Mel-/ With best regards/ James Lovell". Excellent.
The LLRV was a critical, high-risk simulator used at the Flight Research Center (now Armstrong Flight Research Center) to train Apollo astronauts for the final descent to the lunar surface. Neil Armstrong famously credited the LLRV for the success of the Apollo 11 landing, stating that without the training it provided, he might not have been able to land the Lunar Module manually.
