Air France Concorde 1/100 Scale CEO Desk Model. A striking and historically significant professional desktop display model of the Aérospatiale/BAC Concorde Supersonic Transport, finished in the classic Air France "Groupe Air France" livery and marked F-BTSD. Measuring an overall 25" x 10" x 12" the acrylic aircraft features the iconic Concorde profile with droop-nose detail, delta wings, and four underwing Olympus engines. It is finished in Air France's white fuselage scheme with the distinctive blue, white, and red vertical stabilizer, often referred to as the "barcode" tail. Though bearing Air France markings, this aircraft represents one of the most unusual and fascinating chapters in American aviation history: the Braniff Concorde interchange program (1979-1980). From January 1979 until June 1980, Braniff International Airways operated Concorde service within the United States under a unique tri-national agreement. This arrangement marked the only time Concorde was operated by a U.S. airline. Concorde models are highly desirable in their own right, but examples directly tied to the Braniff interchange era represent a uniquely compelling niche within aviation collecting. Overall very fine.
