1937 Greater Texas and Pan-American Exhibition Group Lot. A collection of memorabilia from the 1937 Greater Texas and Pan-American Exposition held at Fair Park, Dallas, comprising postcards, souvenirs, and ephemera celebrating the event. Following the success of the 1936 Texas Centennial Exposition, this World's Fair-style exhibition promoted Dallas as the cultural and commercial center of a new Pan-American civilization linking North, Central, and South America. The exposition also hosted the Pan-American Olympics, an international athletic competition that served as a precursor to the modern Pan American Games. Includes:

Fair Park Exhibition Post Cards. 13 postcards, each 5 3/4 x 3 1/2 inches, depicting the buildings and displays at Fair Park during the exhibition. Scenes include: The Administration Building, the Parry Avenue Entrance (2), the Varied Industries Building, the Cavalcade of the Americas stage show finale, a scene from Cavalcade of the Americas depicting the arrival of Europeans, the Reflection basin, the Pan-American Exhibit Hall, the Patio de Honor (2), the Pan-American Exhibit Building (night view), the Agricultural and Foods Buildings, and the Fountain in Lagoon.

Illustrated Ticket Stub. 1 1/2 x 2 inches, reading: "Greater Texas & Pan American Exposition / Dallas June 12 to Oct. 31," with a dancing couple illustrated at center.

"Southland Life Insurance Co." Souvenir Pencil. 4-inch souvenir pencil shaped liked a bullet casing, reading: "Southland Life Insurance Co. / Harry L. Seay, Pres. / Greater Texas and Pan American Exposition."

Souvenir Exhibition Logo. 6 inches in diameter. Circle-cut print of the exhibition's logo, a dancing woman. On the verso: "Flakes & Company Home Furnishers...Since 1876 / Dallas."

"The Greater Texas and Pan American Exposition" Souvenir Art. 13 inches in diameter. Round, framed plaster art reading: "The Greater Texas and Pan American Exposition," with a Mesoamerican motif.

Condition: Overall very good. Postcards lightly toned with minor edgewear. Souvenir pencil slightly tarnished with loose rubber eraser.
