1936 Texas Centennial Group Lot. A small collection of memorabilia from the 1936 Texas Centennial Exposition in Dallas, a world's fair celebrating the 100th anniversary of Texas independence. The exposition, held at Fair Park, was one of the largest public events of the Great Depression, attracting more than 6 million people. Framed "Texas Centennial Celebrations" Advertisement. Printed promotional card reading "Planned for your Vacation in 1936," 6 1/4 x 3 inches (sight), framed to an overall size of 8 x 4 inches.
