George Washington: "GW in Oval" Inaugural Button. DeWitt GW-1789-8, Albert WI-11B, 34 mm., brass. A nice example of the "wide spaced" GW in Oval button with partial original shank.

Condition: The lettering is strong and legible with typical patina from age and normal wear. Part of the shank has broken off on verso, obverse displays in very good condition.
