Description

Reproduction 17th-Century Insanity Mask. The quality modern copy of a metal mask, used to restrain individuals deemed insane in the 17th-century. This reproduction, quite figural in character, includes a locking hasp, designed to lock the mask on the head of the insane person. This example, with holes for eyes and mouth, evokes a pathos for the condemned wearer. Great visual presence. Size: 12-inches tall X 10-inches wide. Condition: Very good, with light wear present.

If my clients were to auction something of significance, having Mike as the auctioneer would be a deal maker as far as I am concerned.
