If you are considering selling your property at auction and do not need a formal written appraisal, Heritage provides free and confidential auction estimate valuations of property. Please follow this link to our "Consign Now" form to request valuation of your collection.

Types of Formal Appraisals
Heritage provides Fair Market Value appraisals for the following purposes:
- Estate Planning
- Estate Tax
- Financial Planning
- Insurance
- Trusts/Conservatorships
Heritage does not provide Retail Replacement Value appraisals in most cases. Please contact our Appraisal Services Department for further information regarding Retail Replacement Value appraisals.
Heritage appraisals meet all required IRS and legal conditions to function as qualified valuations of tangible property. We require physical inspection of all property to be appraised in order to verify the actual condition and existence.
Appraisal Fee Structure
All fees and costs of producing a formal appraisal will be expressed in the cover letter accompanying the Appraisal Agreement. We are happy to discuss anticipated costs of a formal appraisal. Please fill out the form below or contact our Appraisal Service Department.
Standard Appraisal Fee Schedule
Please Note: If you later choose to sell property listed in a Heritage appraisal through a Heritage auction or private sale, all appraisal fees are fully refundable against the auction Seller's Commissions (but not against Buyer's Premiums) at a prorated rate based on the number and value of property consigned for sale.
Appraisal Updates
For an update of an appraisal that was previously produced by Heritage, where condition of property remains the same and items do not need to physically inspected, the fee will be a flat $300. A higher charge may apply for extremely large and extensive appraisals. Please contact the Appraisal Service Department for an estimate of appraisal update charges.
If the condition of property has changed and must be physically inspected, and/or additional property will be added to an existing appraisal, regular appraisal fees, as stated above, will apply.
Auction Estimates And Proposal For Sale
On request, Heritage will provide a complimentary listing of items from a Heritage appraisal with auction estimates and a proposal for sale through auction.
