Description:
Boxed Winchester Chief Crazy Horse Commemorative Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle. Serial No. CCH18811, .38-55 Winchester caliber, 24-inch round barrel with fixed front sight and adjustable rear sight. Blued finish with casehardened receiver fore-end cap. Receiver sidewalls with gold-accented scroll engraving and Native American vignettes. CHIEF CRAZY HORSE accented in gold on the left side of the barrel. Saddle ring. Walnut stock and fore-end studded with round-head brass tacks in the Indian fashion. Crazy Horse commemorative medallion inset on the right side of the butt.
Condition: Excellent. Appears little used with only minor storage wear. Accompanied by the original fitted Styrofoam box and illustrated cardboard sleeve. Contents include owner's manual, hang tag, promotional literature and a first day Chief Crazy horse postal cover with a Crazy Horse, South Dakota postmark. The box sleeve has a few closed tears.
